Vaults Live has opened in Dublin’s Liberties, a one-hour walk-through experience with live actors performing events in eight hundred years of Irish history. Currently six scenes from Ireland’s history are are enacted through characters, real and imagined, including Dracula author Bram Stoker bringing Dracula to life in the crypt of an old Dublin church, a Viking, befittingly called Ikea in a Viking settlement, a stern hanging Judge Dolores Fitzroy in her Bandon Courtroom, Bridget in her medieval apothecary, a Cromwellian torturer in his chamber who just hates the Irish and Molly Malone offering more than cockles and mussels in what was once Europe’s biggest red light district - Dublin’s Monto, while a policeman tries to keep order but might find love. The sets, by the way, for each scene are brilliant.

Vaults Live was conceived and developed by Frontier Entertainment, former broadcaster Paul Blanchfield and producer Gerald Heffernan. The project is backed by the Belfast-based Lagan family who invested €3 million into Frontier Entertainment after the project ran into a few hicups due to cost overruns not surprisingly with the massive job of converting the historic St John’s National School into a top-class interactive venue.
The scripts were largely written by award-winning playwright Peter Sheridan with a comic input from the late Fergus Linehan. Peter: “We want to make every guest laugh and scream and send them away with an unforgettable insight into why we, the Irish, are the way we are”.

Blanchfield describes Vaults Live as being comparable to London Dungeons. “However” he says “our palette is much broader in terms of characters and scenes we bring to life and yes, we will incorporate others areas of history over time.’ Heffernan added “the show involves thrilling special effects, moments of pure fun, lots of audience participation and dark humour.”
Afterwards visitors can visit The Parlour, to purchase interesting show theamed Irish gifts or to enjoy coffee, tea and snacks.

ReplyDeleteYou should see how my buddy Wesley Virgin's biography starts with this SHOCKING AND CONTROVERSIAL video.
ReplyDeleteWesley was in the army-and soon after leaving-he found hidden, "mind control" tactics that the government and others used to get everything they want.
These are the same secrets many celebrities (especially those who "became famous out of nothing") and elite business people used to become wealthy and successful.
You probably know how you use only 10% of your brain.
That's really because most of your brain's power is UNCONSCIOUS.
Perhaps that expression has even taken place INSIDE OF YOUR own mind... as it did in my good friend Wesley Virgin's mind seven years ago, while driving a non-registered, beat-up garbage bucket of a car without a driver's license and with $3.20 on his debit card.
"I'm absolutely frustrated with going through life check to check! When will I finally succeed?"
You took part in those types of conversations, right?
Your own success story is waiting to start. You just have to take a leap of faith in YOURSELF.
