Museo Picasso in Málaga
The Museo Picasso in Málaga has launched a fresh presentation for the works of Málaga-born Pablo Picasso. From his earliest to his late work, this selection takes us to a new understanding of his place in the history of art.
The New Collection shows a total of 120 artworks at the museum that now has the benefit from new improved lighting arrangement.
The Museo Picasso Málaga’s permanent collection are, they say “refreshed, more visitor-friendly, predominantly chronological, showing how the artist’s work stretched over a period of time.
Museo Picasso Málaga always offers free admission to accredited visitors with disabilities, SEPE-registered job-seekers, children up to the age of 16, card-holding students from Universidad de Málaga, accredited teachers, and members of ICOM. For all visitors, admission is always free on Sundays for the last two hours before closing time. Discounts are available for visitors aged over 65, holders of the Carné Joven Euro, and accredited students aged under 26.

Reading Dante – Paradiso XXII, curated by Renata Sperandio, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture. Thursday 23rd March, 6:30pm, IIC
Italian and Irish curators and experts will present and discuss the relationship between museums and territory and the importance of cultural tourism.
The lecture will feature: Paolo Bartoloni (NUI Galway), 'Trans-temporality and the afterlife of authenticity: The case of Florence'; Michael Cronin (DCU), 'Wild Atlantic Ways? Cultural Tourism in the Age of the Anthropocene'; and Valentina Zucchi (MUS.E Firenze), 'In Florence. The Renaissance as a challenge for the contemporary'.
Admission is free.
Pino Cacucci, author of Quelli del San Patricio, for an evening dedicated to literature, ideals and history. The event will take place on Wednesday 29th March and has been organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico in Ireland.
